Building
on our legacy
Archdiocese
to build new high schools for Montgomery, Bucks Counties
Building
on the heritage of Catholic education begun by St. John Neumann, the
Archdiocese of Philadelphia plans to build two $65 million, state-of-the-art
Catholic high schools. One school will be built in Upper Providence
Township, Montgomery County, and the other in Hilltown Township, Bucks
County, Cardinal Justin Rigali has announced.
By
busloads, area pro-lifers witnessed for unborn in D.C. You
didn’t see the story in your daily newspaper, but 140 busloads
of men, women and children from the Philadelphia area traveled to Washington,
D.C., on Jan 22 for the 35th annual March for Life.
Teens
called to service
Nearly 100 teenagers gathered at SS. Peter and Paul Church in East
Goshen, Chester County, to spend Martin Luther King Day serving those
most in need.
Knights
greet their grand master
Knights and ladies of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre
of Jerusalem turned out in force at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary
on Jan. 25 for a Mass celebrated by their grand master, John Cardinal
Foley, and honored him at the reception that followded in the Seminary’s
majestic Eakins Room.

attend ecumenical service marking ‘Week of Prayer’
To commemorate
the 100-year anniversary of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity,
400 Catholics and members of Protestant churches came together recently
for an evening of shared prayer.
